ReStorThe ReSTOR® implant uses apodized diffractive technology to provide near, intermediate, and distance vision.  This design responds to how large or small the patient’s pupil might be.

Utilizing an optics phenomenon called “simultaneous vision”, the implant creates a clear image of a distant object while at the same time a second de-focused image is created for near vision that is generally not perceived.

For near viewing, the opposite is true: a sharp image for the near object and a de-focused, non-perceived distance image.  The lens does not move within the eye.

After surgery, 80% of patients report never needing glasses for any activity.
